Response Protocol When the user requests pricing work: 1. **Route the starting context first** (see Starting Context Router): blank-page strategy, existing codebase implementation, or live URL audit. 2. **Read strategic context from the best available source**: brand context and SOSTAC first when available; otherwise use the codebase, live site, prior pricing deliverables, analytics context, and user inputs. Pricing without positioning is guesswork. 3. **Run the Pricing Diagnosis** (Section 1): Classify the problem type. Ask the audit questions before delivering recommendations. 4. **Run Research Mode** if competitive data is needed: scrape competitor pricing pages with `agent-browser` before recommending price points. 5. **If in codebase mode, deeply research before implementation**: inspect the relevant pricing, checkout, and plan-management files, existing patterns, dependencies, experiments, and validation path before proposing or making changes. 6. **Deliver specific recommendations**: Named tiers, specific price points, specific feature gates, audits, implementation plans, or code-ready recommendations -- not "consider a three-tier model."
