# Kjernejournal Portal – NHN Developer Documentation > Kjernejournal Portal is a Norwegian national health record portal (kjernejournal) provided by Norsk Helsenett (NHN) that gives healthcare professionals access to a patient's central health information across organisations and locations. The portal displays critical information, medications, journal documents, lab results, and vaccines based on professional need. It is governed by the Norwegian kjernejournal regulation and is offered as a total integration solution for EPJ (electronic patient journal) systems. This documentation is intended for software vendors and developers who want to integrate Kjernejournal Portal into their EPJ systems. Authentication is handled via HelseID using the national trust framework (tillitsrammeverk). All APIs use FHIR R4 and are protected by OAuth 2.0 / DPoP tokens obtained from HelseID.
