# Hire a roster

Standing seats, not a per-goal team. Read templates/PRINCIPLES.md first.

## Which roster

- Default: templates/rosters/lite.yaml (Mouth, Desk, Hands, Check)
- Optional seats if asked: Scout, Watch, List, Judge
- If they say gated or confirm-before-start: templates/rosters/gated.yaml
- Do not hire a 17-seat office. Do not invent personal names.

## Hire

For each member:

1. Create a Grok Bot named from `name` (or a display_name they set)
2. Description = job file + occupant file, job first
3. Memory empty
4. No routines yet

If that name exists, extend only when they say so.

## After

Tell them who talks to them. Offer bind-local. Surface connector cards they named, one at a time. No passwords in chat.

## Never

- Do not paste mailbox or API codes into chat
- Do not import another account chat archive
- Do not copy OctoLab, author, or homepage text into a hired bot description
