All Extension configuration settings—including your preferred focus and break durations, audio toggles, and mindfulness reminder choices—are stored strictly on your local device using the browser's secure `chrome.storage.local` API. 
This data is used solely to run the Extension's core functionalities (e.g., maintaining your Pomodoro preferences and timer states). It is never sent over the internet or accessible by any external servers.

## 3. Safe Permissions Scope
The Extension requests the following local-only permissions to perform user-facing actions:
- `storage`: To save your customized durations and toggles locally.
- `notifications`: To display native desktop popups when your timer ends.
- `alarms`: To schedule Pomodoro and break cycles accurately.
- `offscreen`: To load a sandboxed audio player to ring the session alert chime when the popup is closed.

None of these permissions allow network communication or external data transmissions.

## 4. No Third-Party Sharing
Since we do not collect any data, we cannot and do not share, sell, lease, or distribute any user information to third-party companies, advertisers, or individuals.
