It is specifically designed for interactions that produce a transcript — Messaging sessions (SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger via Messaging for In-App and Web), Voice calls (Einstein Conversation Intelligence), and bot conversations. In many org configurations, Work Summaries also requires a **Data Cloud entitlement** to ingest and store transcript data before the LLM summarization step can run. Without Data Cloud, Work Summaries may be unavailable or limited depending on org edition and feature packaging. Verifying Data Cloud entitlement is a prerequisite check that is frequently missed. Work Summaries also goes through the Einstein Trust Layer, which applies data masking and grounding enforcement before the transcript is processed by the LLM. Record whether `Service Cloud Einstein` and/or `Einstein Generative AI` are present. 2. Run a Case report on closed cases in the last 18 months. Count total closed cases. For each field the customer wants to classify, calculate the null/blank rate. Document results. 3. Assess Knowledge base: Is Salesforce Knowledge enabled? How many published articles exist? Are agents currently linking articles to cases at resolution? 4. Assess messaging channels: Is Messaging (In-App and Web, or partner messaging) or Voice active? This determines Reply Recommendations and Work Summaries eligibility. 5. Check for Data Cloud: Setup > Data Cloud > check provisioning status. Note whether Data Cloud entitlement exists. 6. Use this pattern to activate in the correct order to avoid dependency failures. **How it works:** 1. An admin must explicitly run the Training Data job from Setup > Service > Einstein Reply Recommendations before the model can be built.
