ApplyPulse AI ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding user information.

### 1. Data Collection and Storage
ApplyPulse AI operates on a local-first architecture. 
- All candidate profile information (such as name, contact details, work history, education, and skills) entered by the user is stored locally in the user's browser using Chrome Storage API (`chrome.storage.sync` and `chrome.storage.local`).
- We do not transmit, collect, or store your personal information or resume data on external remote servers.
- Job application tracking details (such as company name, role, and application URL) remain strictly within your browser.

### 2. Permissions Justification
- `storage`: Required solely to persist your candidate profile and tracked application history locally on your device.
- `activeTab`: Required solely to interact with the active job application webpage to detect form fields and populate information when you click "Autofill".
- Host Permissions: Required to run the form autofill engine across supported job application domains (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, BambooHR, etc.).

### 3. Third-Party Sharing
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties.
- We do not track your browsing history across websites.
- We do not use user data for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending determinations.

### 4. Payments
Optional premium subscriptions are processed securely through Stripe via ExtensionPay. Payment credentials are handled directly by Stripe and are never accessed or stored by ApplyPulse AI.
