| With 28 per cent GST and 15 per cent luxury cess, the prices of the Camry hybrid have shot by a whopping Rs 6 lakh forcing its sales to drop. The September sales were restricted to mere 32 units. To offset it, Toyota has halted Camry's production owing to low demands in the country. Toyota launched the 2017 model year Camry Hybrid in India in February 2017. It gets a host of additional features such as LED fog lamps, 12-speaker JBL music system, updated navigation system, wireless smartphone charger, power recline rear seats and nine SRS airbags, among others. It continues to be powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor. The car has a total power output of 205PS and features an ARAI-certified fuel economy figure of 19.16kmpl. |
