# Prompticon Privacy Policy

Prompticon is a Chrome and Firefox browser extension that adds reusable quick replies to supported AI chat websites. This policy explains how Prompticon handles information.

## Summary

Prompticon does not collect, sell, rent, transmit, or store your data on QAInsights servers. It has no analytics, advertising SDKs, trackers, or remote API calls.

## Information Prompticon Processes

Prompticon processes the following information only to provide its quick-reply features:

- Quick replies, custom profiles, template text and values you enter.
- Your preferences, including selected profile, click behavior, toolbar visibility, enabled websites, onboarding state, and smart-question-detection setting.
- Toolbar position for each supported website.
- Page content visible on a supported AI chat website when required to find the chat composer, insert a reply you selected, or—only when you enable Smart question detection—identify clear Yes/No or multiple-choice prompts.

Template values and page content are used in memory in your browser to complete the action you requested. Prompticon does not send them to QAInsights or another third party.

## Storage

Prompticon stores quick replies and preferences using the browser's extension synchronization storage. Chrome may synchronize these settings through Chrome Sync, and Firefox may synchronize them through Firefox Sync, when you are signed in and synchronization is enabled. Google or Mozilla handles that browser-managed synchronization under its own privacy practices.

Toolbar position is stored with the browser's local extension storage on the device where you set it. Prompticon does not use its own servers or databases.

Prompticon is not allowed to run in private browsing windows and does not store information from private browsing sessions.

## Website Access

Prompticon runs only on its supported AI chat websites. This access is used solely to display the toolbar and to insert or submit a quick reply that you choose. It does not run on other websites.

Smart question detection is off by default. When enabled, it analyzes relevant visible page text locally in the browser and creates temporary suggested replies. It does not upload chat content.

## Sharing and Sale of Data

Prompticon does not sell, share, disclose, or transfer your personal information or chat content to QAInsights, advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.

The optional support icon opens Buy Me a Coffee only when you choose to click it. Any information you provide on that external website is governed by that website's privacy policy.

## Data Retention and Control

You control the information stored by Prompticon. You can edit or delete quick replies and settings in the extension popup. You can remove extension data through Chrome or Firefox extension settings, or by uninstalling Prompticon.

## Children's Privacy

Prompticon is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published with a revised "Last updated" date.
