SpeedyVideo **does NOT** collect, store, or transmit any personal data about you or your browsing activity. Specifically:

- ❌ We do **NOT** collect information about websites you visit
- ❌ We do **NOT** store any personal information
- ❌ We do **NOT** send data to external servers
- ❌ We do **NOT** use analytics or tracking tools

## Local Storage

SpeedyVideo stores settings locally on your device using Chrome's storage API:

- Video speed preferences
- Domain-specific speed rules
- Extension enabled/disabled state
- UI theme preference (dark/light mode)

All data is stored **locally on your device** and is **never transmitted** to any server.

## Permissions Used

The extension requests the following permissions:

1. **storage** - To save your speed preferences locally
2. **tabs** - To identify the current tab for tab-specific speed settings
3. **scripting** - To inject the speed control script into web pages
4. **idle** - For performance monitoring (not used for tracking)
5. **<all_urls>** - To work on all websites with video content

## Third-Party Services

SpeedyVideo does **NOT** use any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs.

## Your Rights

You have full control over SpeedyVideo:

- You can uninstall the extension at any time
- You can clear all stored data by uninstalling
- You can review all requested permissions in Chrome's extension settings
- All data is stored locally - you own your data

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date.
