Instructions to install FLI devices =================================== For FLI (Finger Lake Instruments inc.) devices, you will need FLI drivers. You can get them from RTS2 GitHUb. RTS2 GitHub packages are patched for few know problems in official FLI SDK and provides FLIGetSerialNum function. To get GitHUb version, run: user@host:~$ git clone https://github.com/RTS2/fliusb After that, run: user@host:~$ cd fliusb/fliusb user@host:~/fliusb/fliusb$ make As root, run: root@host:/home/user/fliusb/fliusb$ mkdir /lib/modules/`uname -r`/misc root@host:/home/user/fliusb/fliusb$ cp fliusb.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/misc root@host:/home/user/fliusb/fliusb$ depmod -a root@host:/home/user/fliusb/fliusb$ modprobe fliusb If dmesg | tail will show something similar to: FLI USB device found: 'FLI USB MaxCam' FLI USB device attached; rdepaddr: 0x82; wrepaddr: 0x02; buffersize: 4096; timeout: 5000 registered new interface driver fliusb fliusb module loaded then you loaded your driver successfully. If you like to load driver during each computer boot, add fliusb to /etc/modules. Then as normal user: user@host:~/fliusb/fliusb$ cd ../libfli user@host:~/fliusb/libfli$ make Then you will need to run ./configure from rts2 with --with-fli option: user@host:~/fliusb/libfli$ cd ~/rts2 user@host:~/rts2$ ./configure --without-wcs --with-fli=$HOME/fliusb/libfli Then run make and (as root) make install. Please see RUN file for details on that.
