{ "packageName": "UV Exposure Alerts", "author": "RamSet", "version": "1.6.1", "releaseNotes": "Warns you about sun exposure when an exterior door is opened and stays open. Looks up the current UV index and sends a message for that UV band (Low, Moderate, High, Very High, Extreme), optionally strobing a siren on the worst bands and switching it off again after a couple of minutes. Adds a cooldown, so once you have been warned the app stays quiet for a set number of minutes (five by default) however many times the door is opened. Every message is editable, with defaults, and can include the outdoor air quality reading. Leave a band's message blank to stay quiet at that level. The app page now opens with a live panel: the current UV index and band, the outdoor air quality, which bands are set to notify, whether opening a door right now would tell you anything, when the last alert went out, and every door listed as open or closed. Outdoor air quality can now be read from several sensors at once, taking the worst reading, so a clean particle sensor cannot mask a bad chemical one in the message. Alerts can now be spoken aloud on your speakers as well as, or instead of, being sent as notifications, with an optional volume for the announcement. Quiet hours can be set so the speakers stay silent overnight while push notifications still reach your phone, or optionally hold those too.", "category": "Safety", "tags": "UV, Sun, Air Quality, Contact Sensor, Notification, Safety", "dateReleased": "2026-07-14", "minimumHEVersion": "2.3.0", "apps": [ { "id": "3e7c3459-09ba-48aa-b6ee-ebbeb8c172ef", "name": "UV Exposure Alerts", "namespace": "ramset", "location": "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RamSet/hubitat/refs/heads/main/apps/uv-exposure-alerts/uv-exposure-alerts.groovy", "required": true, "oauth": false, "primary": true, "description": "Warns about UV exposure when an exterior door is opened, with editable per-band messages and optional siren strobe." } ] }
