What the extension does

Review AI Detector reads review text that is already visible on supported product and business pages in your browser. It does not crawl or scrape sites in the background.

Data sent to the API

To score reviews, the extension sends review text and related fields (such as star rating, title, and posting date when available) to: https://ai-comment-checker.onrender.com

The API returns AI-likelihood scores and listing-trust summaries for display as badges and a trust card in your browser.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use review text for advertising.
• We do not collect passwords, payment details, or browsing history outside matched review pages.

Storage

Settings (threshold, enabled flag) are stored in Chrome sync storage. Optional last-scan stats may be stored locally on your device.

Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is published in the project repository.
