LocalScrape ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Extension.

## 1. Data Collection and Usage
**We do not collect, transmit, store, or log any of your personal data or page content.** 
LocalScrape is designed to operate entirely locally within your browser. 

- **No External Servers:** The Extension makes zero outbound network connections. Data extracted from webpages never leaves your local machine.
- **No Analytics:** We do not use any tracking, telemetry, or third-party analytics services to monitor your usage of the Extension.

## 2. Extension Permissions
LocalScrape requires the following permissions to function. All operations using these permissions are performed locally on your device:

- **`activeTab`**: Used strictly to allow the scraper script to interact with the current webpage only when you explicitly click the extension icon.
- **`scripting`**: Used to inject the visual highlighting styles and extraction logic into the page you have chosen to scrape.
- **`downloads`**: Used solely to save the data you have extracted (as a CSV or JSON file) directly to your computer's local Downloads folder.
