Dumpster ("the App") is developed by Sara Nazari. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. Your email is stored securely via Supabase and is used only for account access and optional notifications. You may also choose to set a display name and profile photo, which are visible to other users.
The App allows you to write movie reviews, rate movies, post comments, and follow other users. This content is stored in our database and is visible to other users of the App. You can delete your reviews at any time.
When you search for movies, your search queries are sent to The Movie Database (TMDB) API to retrieve results. TMDB's privacy policy is available at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system or RevenueCat. We store your subscription status (free or pro) but do not have access to your payment card details. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/privacy.
Free users may see banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. Pro subscribers do not see any ads. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
The App collects a device identifier for subscription verification and usage tracking. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally outside the App.
The App does not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or browsing history outside the App.
Your account data and reviews are stored as long as your account exists. You may request account deletion by contacting us, and all associated data will be removed within 30 days.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some content on the App may contain mature language in user reviews.
The App uses: Supabase (authentication and database), TMDB (movie data), Google AdMob (advertising), RevenueCat/Apple (subscriptions). Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
