# Licenses and redistribution

This repository contains separately licensed components. A root license does not replace the licenses of incorporated upstream code.

- `remote/`: MIT, Copyright (c) 2026 DSH Remote contributors. Original full text is retained in `remote/packages/plugin/LICENSE` and `LICENSES/MIT.txt`; `remote/LICENSE` repeats it for clarity.
- `host/`: Apache License 2.0, Copyright 2026 Fei2411 and the DS Bot contributors. Original `LICENSE` and `NOTICE` are retained. Modified files carry a modification notice. The distributable Host plugin includes both `LICENSE` and `NOTICE`.
- `remote/apps/android/src/vendor/ds-bot/` and `remote/apps/android/src/screens/group-image-display.ts`: Apache-2.0, with its original LICENSE/NOTICE; the adapted folding module carries its own modification notice.
- New integration documentation and Apache-derived modifications: Apache-2.0, Copyright 2026 Seren-715. Changes inside MIT-only Remote code remain under MIT.

Both upstream licenses permit modification and redistribution. MIT requires retaining its copyright and license text. Apache-2.0 additionally requires retaining relevant notices, supplying the license and identifying modified files. See the actual license texts for all terms, including patent and warranty provisions. These licenses do not imply official endorsement or a trademark grant.

Dependencies retain their own licenses. Release assets include a license/notice archive collected from the installed build workspace, alongside the project notices. Upstream URLs and source references are in [docs/UPSTREAM.md](docs/UPSTREAM.md).
