# Upgrade your AES instance to the next family release

If you are currently running a family release \(Australia, for example\) and want to upgrade App Engine Studio \(AES\) to the next release, you don't need to acquire the applications from the ServiceNow Store.

The application is automatically updated when the platform is updated to the minimum required version.
