# Add a business actor to a business process activity

You can add an existing business actor to a business process activity in the Enterprise Architecture Workspace, or create a business actor directly from the business process activity record.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_apm.apm\_user

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Enterprise Architecture Workspace**.

2.  Open the Portfolio List view by selecting the Portfolio icon \(\[Omitted image "portfolio-icon.png"\] Alt text:\).

3.  Select the expand row icon \(\[Omitted image "ExpandIcon.png"\] Alt text:\) next to **Business Architecture**.

4.  Select **Business Process Activities**.

5.  Select the business process activity that you want to add a business actor to.

6.  Select the **Business actors** tab.

7.  Add a business actor using one of the following methods.

    -   To add an existing business actor:
        1.  Select **Add**.
        2.  In the Add business actor window, select the business actor. A suggested relationship type appears in the **Relationship type** field, but you can select a different type from the list, if needed.
        3.  Select **Add**.
    -   To create a business actor, select **New** and complete the fields on the form. ## Result

The business actor appears in the **Business actors** related list for the business process activity.
