# Add or edit a business role

Create or edit a business role to define the responsibilities, rights, and duties associated with performing specific business behavior.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_apm.apm\_user

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Enterprise Architecture Workspace**.

2.  Open the Portfolio List view by selecting the Portfolio icon \(\[Omitted image "portfolio-icon.png"\] Alt text:\).

3.  Select the expand row icon \(\[Omitted image "ExpandIcon.png"\] Alt text:\) next to **Business Architecture**.

4.  Select **Business Roles**.

5.  Add or edit a business role.

    -   To add a business role, select **New**.
    -   To edit an existing business role, select the business role.

        **Note:** To edit multiple business roles simultaneously, select the checkboxes next to relevant business roles and then select **Edit**.

6.  Fill in the fields on the form.

7.  Select **Save**.
