# Add a stakeholder to a value stream

Add existing stakeholders to a value stream in the Enterprise Architecture Workspace to identify who gets value from it. You can also create a stakeholder directly from the value stream record.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_apm.apm\_user

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Enterprise Architecture Workspace**.

2.  Open the Portfolio List view by selecting the Portfolio icon \(\[Omitted image "portfolio-icon.png"\] Alt text: Portfolio icon\).

3.  Select the expand row icon \(\[Omitted image "ExpandIcon.png"\] Alt text: Expand Row icon\) next to **Business Architecture**.

4.  Select **Value Streams**.

5.  Select the value stream that you want to add a stakeholder to.

6.  Select the **Stakeholders** tab.

7.  Add a stakeholder using one of the following methods.

    -   To add an existing stakeholder:
        1.  Select **Add**.
        2.  In the Add stakeholder window, select the stakeholder. A suggested relationship type appears in the **Relationship type** field, but you can select a different type from the list, if needed.
        3.  Select **Add**.
    -   To create a stakeholder, select **New** and complete the fields on the form. For field descriptions, see [Create a stakeholder form](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/application-portfolio-management/eaw-create-a-stakeholder-form.md).

## Result

The stakeholder appears in the **Stakeholders** related list for the value stream.
