# Create a demand using the bubble chart

Create a demand for an application from the bubble chart.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_apm.apm\_analyst

## About this task

Use a demand as a step to identify cost-saving opportunities on the business applications and meet your targets. The strategy that you associate with the demand action decides the strategy for the application.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Enterprise Architecture Workspace**.

2.  Open the Application Rationalization page by selecting the application rationalization icon \(\[Omitted image "icon-app-rationalization.png"\] Alt text: Application rationalization icon.\).

3.  Select **Bubble chart**.

4.  Select the bubble for the relevant application that you want to create a demand for perform the following.

**Single bubble**

1.  Select a single bubble.
2.  In the pop-up window, select the context menu icon \(\[Omitted image "eaw-icon-menu.png"\] Alt text: Context menu icon.\) and select **Create demand**.

**Grouped bubble**

1.  Select a grouped bubble. The info pane appears, displaying the list of individual business applications that are part of the grouped bubble.
2.  Select the context menu icon next to \(\[Omitted image "eaw-icon-menu.png"\] Alt text: Context menu icon.\) and select **Create demand**.

</table>5.  On the Create demand form, fill in the fields.

6.  Select **Create**.
