# Remove business roles from business actors

Remove business roles from business actors when organizational responsibilities change or role assignments are no longer needed.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_apm.apm\_user

## About this task

Removing a business role from a business actor disassociates the role from that actor. The business role itself is not deleted and can be reassigned to other actors.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Enterprise Architecture Workspace**.

2.  To open the Portfolio List view, select the Portfolio icon \(\[Omitted image "portfolio-icon.png"\] Alt text:\).

3.  Select the expand row icon \(\[Omitted image "ExpandIcon.png"\] Alt text:\) next to **Business Architecture**.

4.  Select **Business Actors**.

5.  Select the business actor that you want to remove a business role from.

6.  Select the **Business roles** tab.

7.  Select the checkbox next to the business role that you want to remove, and select **Remove**.

    A confirmation message appears.

8.  Select **Remove**.
