# Create a custom flow action

Create a custom flow action in Workflow Studio for enabling external routing.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1.  On your ServiceNow instance, navigate to **All** > **Flow Designer** > **Actions**.

2.  From the Actions list, open **AWA Post External Routing Events – Demo**.

3.  Select **Copy action** from the More Actions menu \[Omitted image "more-actions-ne-icon.png"\] Alt text: More actions menu., copy the contents of the **AWA Post External Routing Events – Demo** action and provide a name to it.

4.  Select **Publish**.
