# Activate your translation service in Dynamic Translation

Activate your preferred Dynamic Translation provider and mark it as the default service for both translation and language detection.

## Before you begin

**Note:** The following content is only relevant to NLU conversations and live agent LLM conversations that use Dynamic Translation for Agent Chat.

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Dynamic Translation** > **Translator Configurations**.

2.  Select the name of the translation service to open the record.

3.  On the Translator Configuration form, select the **Active** check box.

4.  On the Preferences tab, select **Mark as default for translation**.

5.  On the Preferences tab, select **Mark as default for detection**.

6.  Select **Update**.
