# Edit Knowledge Base

Edit knowledge base settings to configure workflows, ownership, and management for Core Business Suite knowledge bases.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_cbs.admin

**Note:** You can add additional owners and managers to the Knowledge Base beyond the CBS admin. For more information, see [Edit Knowledge Base form](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/core-business-suite/edit-kb-ref-cbs.md).

## About this task

Modify knowledge base settings to control how articles are published, retired, and managed across your organization.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Core Business Suite** > **Configure**.

2.  Select **Knowledge** in Core Business Suite module under the Configuration Console.

    You can perform the same steps to edit knowledge bases under each business unit module.

3.  Select the gear icon \[Omitted image "gear-icon-cbs.png"\] Alt text: gear icon to get to Knowledge Base settings. on the default Knowledge Base at the Core Business Suite level or at a business unit-level.

    You're on the **Settings** tab.

4.  On the Edit knowledge base form, fill in the fields and select **Save**.

## Result

You have edited the default Knowledge Base settings to your requirement. You can navigate to the default permission records from the same page to manage permissions.
