The default Knowledge Base, Core Business Suite Knowledge, supports cross-functional Knowledge that spans business units and supports employee and supplier requests as added by the CBS admins. The Knowledge module is available across business unit modules within the Configuration Console. You can perform the same configuration actions for Knowledge Base articles in the Human Resources, Health and Safety, Legal, Source-to-Pay, and Workplace Services modules. The Knowledge module supports the following capabilities: - Import knowledge articles to the portal. - Create additional knowledge bases for specific business needs. - Manage publish and retire workflows for knowledge articles. - Assign ownership and management responsibilities. - Adjust the settings of the default Knowledge Base at a product-level or at a business unit-level. ## Permissions Two default knowledge management permissions are available in the Knowledge module **Can Read** and **Can Contribute** for the distribution of access.
