# Topic form fields

Set fields on the form to create a new topic.

|Field|Description|
|-----|-----------|
|Name|Name of the topic.|
|Description|A short description to define what the topic is.|
|Parent|The parent topic, if required. If you enter a parent topic, the topic is listed as a subtopic of the parent topic.|
|Image|An image that provides a visual reference that describes the topic.|
|Knowledge category used for harvesting|The knowledge category used to categorize community discussions harvested to knowledge articles.|
