# Activate the Consumer and Customer Service Portals

Activate the portal plugins to use the Consumer and Customer Service Portals.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to the [ServiceNow store application](https://store.servicenow.com/sn_appstore_store.do#!/store/home) or **All** > **System Definitions** > **Plugins** in the CSM application.

2.  Install any one of the following plugins.
