# Enable AI search in the Business and Consumer Portals for unauthenticated users

Activate the AI search widgets to allow guest users logging in to the Business and Consumer portal to use the AI search feature.

## Before you begin

Role required: sp\_admin

You must configure AI Search for the Business and Consumer portal. For more information, see [Enable and configure AI Search in Service Portal](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/platform-user-interface/enable-ais-sp.md).

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Service Portal** > **Widgets**.

2.  Search for **Typeahead Search**.

3.  Select **Typeahead Search**.

4.  Select the **Public** check box.

5.  Select **Update**.

6.  Repeat the steps for the **AI Search Assist** widget.
