# Expire a publication

Expire a published article before it reaches the **Expiry Date**.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_publications.author or sn\_publications.admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Targeted Communications** > **Active Publications**.

2.  Select an article that has been published.

3.  Click **Expire**.

    The publication **Expiry Date** is set to the current date. The publication is removed from the Active Publications list and appears on the Expired Publications list.
