# Configure time limited authentication

Configure the time limited authentication for your external applicants to log in to the Applicant Center.

Time limited authentication \(TLA\) gives the applicant a more accessible and easy option to log in to the Applicant Center portal, as opposed to remembering different passwords.

Create post-authentication policies for your external applicant role, so that they can log in to the Applicant Center, using a magic link.

Depending on the post-authentication policy you’ve enabled, add a condition for the external applicant role and the Applicant Center identity provider.
