# Enable notification for contract metadata extraction

Enable the notification for contract metadata extraction to receive email notifications when metadata extraction is completed.

## About this task

The **Metadata extraction-Completed** notification is not active by default.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **System Notification** > **Email** > **Notifications**.

2.  In the **Name** column, search for `metadata`.

3.  Select **Metadata extraction-Completed**.

4.  On the Notification form, select the **Active** check box.

5.  Select **Update**.


## Result

The metadata extraction email notification is activated and triggers when the metadata extraction process is completed.
