# Configuring Employee Center

Use the Employee Center within Microsoft Teams or embed a custom portal in Microsoft Teams.

Employee Center appears in Microsoft Teams when you install and configure Employee Center v23.0.5 or a higher version in your environment. If you install Employee Center Pro in your environment, the Employee Center Pro is available in Microsoft Teams.

If you don't install Employee Center in your environment, the Employee Service Portal is displayed in the Microsoft Teams application. Alternatively, you can embed a custom portal in Microsoft Teams.

Embed your custom portal to replace the Employee Center tab in Microsoft Teams by configuring the system property. The custom portal shows up in the Employee Center tab in Microsoft Teams.
