# Employee profile

A unified employee profile provides the employee information and offers extensibility for BUs.

Download the latest version from ServiceNow Store to access the work-related employee profile without navigating to multiple systems. Configuration-driven profile design to introduce fields, actions, and widgets related to work-related information.

-   Scope: sn\_employee

**Note:** To manually approve the Requested restricted caller access \(RCA\), go to sys\_store\_app.list from navigator. Header has an error message with a link to the RCAs.

You can allow the RCAs.

You can have a comprehensive view of the employee information to drive business decisions, create intelligent workflows, and deliver personalization across end-user facing applications. Using the employee profile, you can:

-   Configure the employee profile design and display preferences.
-   Create a modern profile UI to match the social and enterprise needs.
-   Enable employees to create and manage personal information from one page.
-   Enable profile extensibility across multiple business units.
-   Configure work-related info as tabs and personalize the public profile visibility settings.
-   Manage the data visibility and extensibility with a scalable profile for future use cases.
-   Improve the overall employee engagement and experience.

## Configure employee profile

As an admin, you can create an active employee definition and configure the profile components. Manage updates to the employee profile from a central location. **Note:** Actions that require the **admin** role, can also be performed with the **sn\_employee.admin** role.
