# Reopen a safety incident or observation

If a safety incident or observation requires further investigation after it was closed or canceled, you can reopen it to work on it again.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_ohs\_im.manager

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Health and Safety** > **Health and Safety Workspace**.

2.  Select the incident management icon \(\[Omitted image "list-icon-hs.png"\] Alt text: Incident Management icon.\).

3.  In the **Lists** tab, open the safety incident or observation list.

    -   For the safety incidents list, select **Safety Incidents** and then **All**.
    -   For the safety observations list, select **Safety Observations** and then **All**.
4.  Open the safety incident or observation to reopen and change the state to **Work in Progress**.


## Result

The safety incident or observation is reopened.
