# Approve or reject a permit-to-work request

Review the permit and approve or reject it through Employee Center.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_hs\_rm.permit\_approver

## About this task

After assessing the risks associated with the job and checking whether safety parameters are in place, the approver can approve or reject the request.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Self service** > **Employee center**.

2.  Select **My tasks** to view the permit approvals under the **Open** tab.

3.  Select the permit link.

4.  Review the permit details.

5.  In the comments field of the approve request, add comments and select the **Approve** or the **Reject** button as applicable for the permit request.


## Result

The permit is approved or rejected in the system and the permit requestor can view the response from the Employee Center under **My Tasks**.
