# Create an exposure assessment for an exposure type

For an exposure type, create an exposure assessment for a site location. You can also generate exposure assessments for multiple locations in your organization at once for an exposure type.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_hs\_rm.industrial\_hygienist or sn\_hs\_rm.exposure\_writer

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Health and Safety** > **Health and Safety Workspace**.

2.  Select the risk management icon \(\[Omitted image "icon-risk-assessment.png"\] Alt text: Risk management icon\).

3.  Select the **Exposure types** list and open the exposure type to create the assessment for.

4.  In the **Details** tab, set the **State** as Active.

5.  Select **Create exposure assessment**.

6.  In the **Selected locations where this exposure is present** field, select the location to be assessed for this exposure type.

    You can select multiple locations to create exposure assessment records for all of them at once. However, each selected location must be unique, as only one active exposure assessment record can be associated with each location.

7.  Select **Create**.


## Result

An exposure assessment record for each selected location appears in the **Exposure assessment** tab of the exposure type.
