# Configure an HR badge

Use **Badges** to create or modify visual indicators that provide quick insights into important attributes of employees, cases, or assigned users, such as organization, role, status, or special conditions on the **HR Ticket** page.

Role required: sn\_hr\_core.admin

## About this task

**Badges** are configurable labels in HR workspace that display important employee or case information, such as status, employment type, and special flags.

Custom badges only appear for specif .

-   The base system provides defaults and is configurable.
-   On the **HR Ticket** page, you can filter to-dos based on badges.
-   Defaults are added to HR services.
-   Can be overridden on an Activity.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **HR Administration** > **Badges**.

2.  Click **New** or open a record.

3.  Fill in the fields on the form.

    |Field|Description|
    |-----|-----------|
    |Name|Name of the HR badge. Provide up to three characters to represent an organization, such as HR for Human Resources or IT for Information Technology.|
    |Badge description|Description of the HR badge.|

4.  Click **Submit** or **Update**.
