# Create document blocks in Document Templates

Create document blocks that you can use in multiple HTML templates.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_doc.admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Document Templates** > **Document Template Blocks**.

2.  Click **New**.

3.  On the form, fill in the fields:

Used to categorize template blocks according to the service for which they are applicable. Each topic category can have one or more topic details and each topic detail can have one or more HR services.

</td><td>

Used to categorize template blocks according to the service for which they are applicable. Each topic category can have one or more topic details and each topic detail can have one or more HR services.

</td></tr><tr><td>

Active

</td><td>

Option to make the document block available for use.

Description

</td><td>

More information about the document template block.

</td></tr></tbody>
