# Insert signatures

Insert signatures in an HTML document template by selecting participants from the list.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_doc.admin

## Procedure

1.  [Configure an HTML document template](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/employee-service-management/hr-service-delivery/configure-HTML-doc-template.md).

2.  [Create participants for an HTML document template](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/employee-service-management/hr-service-delivery/create-participants-html.md).

3.  Place the cursor in the desired location in the **Body** field.

4.  Select **Insert Signature** to insert signature variable for a participant.

5.  In the Add a signature window, select a participant.

    **Note:** Signing date is not supported.

6.  Click **OK**.
