# Create employee union memberships

Use Employee Union Membership to input and track your union employees. Creating union memberships allows you to gain visibility into employee membership through an HR profile and target content or tasks through HR criteria.

## Before you begin

Role required: HR profile writer \[sn\_hr\_core.profile\_reader\]

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **HR Administration** > **Labor Unions** > **Employee Union Membership**.

2.  Select **New**.

3.  Fill in the form.

Local union chapter

Effective start date

</td><td>

The date the employee became a union member.

Effective end date

</td><td>

The date the employee left the union, if applicable.

Identifies if the employee is an active union member.

Identifies if the employee is a union steward.

The employee's job code within your company.
