# Import CAD configuration

After your CAD configuration is complete, import the CAD configuration changes.

## Before you begin

**Note:** Your CAD configuration changes must be completed before you import your changes. Editing and updating your CAD source file isn’t mandatory. CAD file must only be edited and updated if information is missing in your CAD file.

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1.  On the Autocad configuration page, select **Start Import** to make sure your map is created.

    The **Start Import** button is enabled only when layers and places that you want to display on your CAD file don’t have any issues like missing polygon, template, polylines. Resolve these issues before importing the layers and places in your CAD source file. 2.  Select **Start Import**.

    The updated CAD configuration changes are imported to the Map studio for a floor plan. A message is displayed that the building configuration for a campus is complete.

3.  Select **Go to overview** to navigate to the Map Studio Campus overview page.

4.  Select **Continue** to view your updated changes in real time on a World map \(OpenStreetMap\).
