# Journey designer plan configuration approvers

Plan configuration approvers review and approve plan configurations.

ServiceNow administrators [assign plan configuration approvers](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/employee-service-management/journey-designer/jny-assign-pconfig-owner-approver.md) for different plan configurations. Approvers are assigned by ServiceNow administrators. Approvers are subject matter experts \(SME\) with specialized skills related to plan configurations. When an owner publishes updates to a plan configuration an approval task is created for any approvers.
