# Send a reminder to custodians for acknowledgment

Send a reminder to custodians for them to acknowledge their role in ensuring that the data related to the legal hold is preserved.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_lg\_hold.legal\_hold\_fulfiller

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Legal Request** > **Legal Counsel Center**.

2.  Select the List icon \(\[Omitted image "lsd-lcc-list-icon.png"\] Alt text: List icon\).

3.  In the **Default lists** tab, navigate to **Matters** > **All**

4.  Select the legal hold matter for which the reminder must be sent.

5.  Select the **Tasks** tab.

6.  Select the task, which must be in the Assigned state.

7.  Select **Send reminder**.

8.  On the Send reminder pop-up window, select **Send**.


## Result

A reminder email is sent to the custodian.

The message **Reminder notice is sent** appears in the **Activity** section.
