# Set up Outside Firms for Legal Invention Disclosure

Configure Outside Firm records to enable the assignment of outside counsels to review and process the patent filing of Legal Invention Disclosure requests.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_lg\_matter.matter\_config

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Legal Matter** > **Outside Counsel Setup** > **Setup Outside Firms**.

2.  Select **New**.

3.  On the form, fill in the fields.

    |Field|Description|
    |-----|-----------|
    |Outside Firm Name|Name of the outside firm.|
    |Description|Detailed description about the outside firm.|
    |Office Name|Name of the office of the outside firm.|
    |Street Address|Address of the outside firm.|
    |PO Box number|Post box number of the outside firm.|
    |City|City where the outside firm is located.|
    |State/Province|State or province where the outside firm is located.|
    |Country|Country where the outside firm is located.|
    |Active|Option to make the Outside Firm record active.|

4.  Select **Submit**.
