# Request document access for a legal matter

Request access to documents attached to a legal matter that you do not currently have access to.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_lg\_ops.legal\_user or sn\_lg\_ops.legal\_fulfiller

## About this task

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Legal Request** > **Legal Counsel Center**.

2.  In the Legal Counsel Center tab, select the list icon \[Omitted image "lsd-lcc-list-icon.png"\] Alt text: List icon.

3.  In the **Lists** tab, under **Matters**, click **All**.

4.  Open a legal matter for which you want to request document access.

5.  In the **Artifacts** tab, open an artifact.

6.  In the **Documents** tab, select the documents for which you want access, and click **Request Access**.


## Result

The system processes the user's permissions and grants access to the documents in the matter artifact.
