# Modify a contract record

After a contract record is created, you can change the end date, parent contract, and contract model.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_lg\_cnt.contract\_fulfiller

## About this task

If changes are made to a contract end date or its terms and conditions, a copy of the contract is automatically saved and placed in contract history.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Legal Counsel Center**.

2.  Select the List icon \(\[Omitted image "lsd-lcc-list-icon.png"\] Alt text: List icon\).

3.  View all contracts by navigating to **Legal Contracts** > **All Contracts**.

4.  Select a contract.

5.  Modify the contract end date.

    1.  In the **End date** field, select the Show End date calendar icon \(\[Omitted image "lsd-cont-rec-calendar.png"\] Alt text: Show Start date calendar icon\).

    2.  In the calendar pop-up, select a date.

    3.  Select **OK**.

6.  Modify the parent contract.

    1.  In the **Parent contract** field, select the Search for Record icon \(\[Omitted image "lsd-cont-rec-search.png"\] Alt text: Search for Record icon\).

    2.  In the Parent contract pop-up list, select a contract record to assign as the parent contract.

7.  Change the contract model.

    1.  In the **Contract model** field, select the Search for Record icon \(\[Omitted image "lsd-cont-rec-search.png"\] Alt text: Search for Record icon\).

    2.  In the Contract model pop-up list, select the model.

8.  Select **Save**.
