# Add mentor preferences

As a mentor, add your preferences to help mentees find out if you're the right match for them

## Before you begin

Enroll as a mentee. For more information, see [Enroll as a mentor or mentee](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/employee-service-management/mentoring/enroll-mentoring.md)

Role required: none

## Procedure

1.  On the mentor preferences wizard, answer the required questions.

2.  Select **Next**.

3.  On the **What are you looking for from your mentor?** question, set preferences that will help you match with the right mentor.

    **Note:** Select at least one preference.

5.  On the **What are some of your other mentor preferences** question, add or remove options as per your choice.

    |Other preferences|
    |-----------------|
    |Which timezones work best for you?|Option to add appropriate timezones.|
    |Which locations work best for you?|Option to add an appropriate location to meet with your mentee.|
    |What languages do you communicate in?|Option to select preferred languages.|
    |How many mentees are you willing to take on at a time.|Option to select between 1 or 2 mentees.|

6.  Select **Enroll**.

    **Note:** You can also save your preferences by select **Save as draft**, if you are not ready to enroll as a mentee yet.
