# Incident pattern analysis

The incident pattern analysis tool automatically detects recurring patterns across health and safety incidents.

The tool compares the patterns across the list of incident records based on category, location, time, people involved, and assets. The tool runs jobs in the background, automatically creating Health and Safety pattern records on the **Incident pattern** dashboard. No manual intervention from a safety manager is required. The integration of the incident pattern analysis tool with generative AI helps to generate a pattern summary.

Safety managers can view the pattern dashboard and immediately plan and act on emerging risks.
