# Add a role applicant to an opportunity role

Role applicants are employees who have applied to a role that is part of an opportunity. As an Opportunity Marketplace admin \[sn\_opp\_market.admin\], you can add role applicants to an opportunity role.

## Before you begin

Role required: Opportunity Marketplace \[sn\_opp\_market.admin\]

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Opportunity Marketplace** > **Role Applicants**.

2.  Select **New**.

    -   **Employee**
    -   **Role**
    -   **State**
    -   **Submission message**
    -   **Work notes**
3.  Select the **Employee** from a list of employees with active profiles.

4.  Select the **Role** from a list of roles that are available to applicants.

5.  Select the appropriate **State** for the applicant.

6.  Enter a **Submission message** on behalf of the applicant.

7.  Add **Work notes** if you want the opportunity owners to have additional information about the applicant.

8.  Select **Submit**.
