# Set the job proficiency level automatically

Set the proficiency level automatically for the skills across jobs based on the skill level type and role group.

## Before you begin

The job level progression must have been defined. For more information, see [Creating a job level progression](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/employee-service-management/talent-development-core/skills-int-job-level-progress.md).

Role required: sn\_skills\_int.admin

## About this task

**Note:** If no configuration is created for the proficiency level, the default configuration is applied to all the progressions.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Job Architecture** > **Role Groups**.

2.  Select **Proficiency Autofill Configuration**.

3.  Select **New**.

4.  On the Proficiency autofill form, fill in the fields.

5.  Select **Submit**.
